Brief Summary:
Brendan Prince is a queen, plain and simple. Giggling, dressing smartly, and addicted to Starbucks, he is everything the more conservative crowd fears. He is loud, he is proud, and he makes no effort to hide who he is or what he is-and that is fabulous, honey. Of course, with how he acts, tittering and so on, you'd never expect him to be a wicked business man or intelligent conversationalist, and not to mention someone who could keep a secret to his grave, if you so needed. He is loyal to his friends-though he doesn't do sick day visits (he hates to be sick, thank you) or babysitting-and he is a very good listener-you'd be surprised how that comes in handy when you are a hair dresser.
And as queenish as he seems, Brendan does do butch things. He can change a tire, he can throw a football, and he can throw a punch. He did grow up in small town Massachusetts after all. He can cook a family meal, if he so pleases, though fat fat fat is not his desire. He watches what he eats and is picky for a reason. He has no shame admitting he things he has a big ass, folks.
History Family: Malcolm Prince (father, deceased), Judith Prince nee Blackhall (mother, deceased)
Brief Summary:
Born and raised in a small town in Massachusetts, Brendan Prince never really fit in. He was the little boy with the easy bake oven and the barbie doll collection, and yes he wore aprons on Sundays when he helped his mother with dinner. The Prince family parents loved their little boy, however much the other parents said he 'just wasn't right', and spoiled him with love and attention. He certainly got a 'look at me' complex from them that he still has to this day.
When Brendan was done with high school, he headed to Paul Mitchell Beauty school, a dream of his to be a hair stylist to the stars. His parents funded this, both being proud of their son's pursuit of higher education. He graduated after two years at the top of his class and further went on to follow his dreams by packing a bag-don't forget your lucky scissors, his mother said-and heading for LA, where the stars who he wanted to cut the hair of lived.
He ended up working in a barber shop named 'Paul's Cuts' for a month, getting a card to the hairdressers union before he began moving up in the ranks of hair salons. From Paul's to Greta's to Martha's, he went from one Mom and Pop place to another before he finally managed to stumble upon Trim, a hipster salon he found his niche in. He got into the business, began to know his way around, made a few friends, a few enemies-yes, hair dressers have enemies, thank you!-and worked his way up in the ranks. By the time he was manager, Brendan wanted more. He wanted his own place. And so Prince's Crown Hair Salon came to be. First opening in LA, Brendan found after years of LA life, he was beginning to look, dare he say it, old. So, two things prompted a move to Massachusetts-one, his crows feet forming at the edge of his eyes, and two, the death of his parents in a car crash (make no mistake, that devastated poor Brendan far more than the crow's feet). They left him their home in Bristol, a place they had moved too while he was living it up in LA.
He moved back five months ago and is settled, having opened a Prince's Crown Hair Salon in town and getting customers already, and is just beginning to realize that people are doing as he says a bit more often and a bit more readily. When he realizes that he has a super power to get people to do as he says? Watch out world.
